چکیده
In the previously published mitochondrial genome sequence of Artemia urmiana (NC_021382 [JQ975176]), taxonomic status examined had not been determined, due to parthenogenetic populations coexisting with A. in Urmia Lake. Additionally, NC_021382 [JQ975176] has obtained pooled cysts (0.25 g consists 20,000–25,000 cysts), a single specimen. With regard Lake, and intra- inter-specific variations samples, cannot be recommended as valid any attempt attribute it or population is unreasonable. aid next-generation sequencing methods, we characterized assembled complete defined status. Our results reveal that mitogenome tRNA-Phe erroneously attributed heavy strand but encoded light strand. There was major problem position ND5. It extended over tRNA-Phe, which biologically incorrect. We have also identified partial nucleotide 311 bp probably duplicated assembly control region [JQ975176], enlarges length by 16%. This could recognized our well 48 further specimens urmiana. Although, only COX1 16S genes widely used for phylogenetic studies Artemia, findings substantial differences composition some other (including ATP8, ATP6, ND3, ND6, ND1 COX3) among species. suggested these markers should included future studies.

Biometrical Comparison of Artemia urmiana Günther, 1899 (Crustacea: Anostraca) Cysts between Rainy and Drought Years (1994-2003/4) from Urmia Lake, Iran
Nowadays, biometrical characterizations of Artemia cysts are used as one of the most important factors in the study of Artemia populations and intraspecific particularity; meanwhile these characters can be used as economical indices. For example, typically high hatching efficiency is possible due to the small diameter of cysts (high number per gram); therefore small diameter of cysts show somew...
متن کاملReanalysis and revision of the complete mitochondrial genome of Rachycentron canadum (Teleostei, Perciformes, Rachycentridae).
The complete mitochondrial genome of cobia, Rachycentron canadum, was reanalyzed and revised. The genome is 18,008 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and a control region or displacement loop (D-loop). The gene arrangement is identical to that observed in most vertebrates. Base composition on the heavy strand is 30.14% A...
متن کاملCytogenetic analysis of four argentinean populations of Artemia (Crustacea Branchipoda: Anostraca)
Artemia brine shrimps inhabit hypersaline ecosystems all over the world except Antarctica. In South America two bisexual diploid species are encountered: Artemia franciscana Kellogg distributed along America and Artemia persimilis Piccinelli and Prosdocimi restricted to Argentina and a few Chilean localities. A. franciscana was recently cited for the first time in our country and our results su...

In this study, the complete mitogenome sequence of cyprinid fish, Taiwanese barbel steed, Hemibarbus schlegelii (Günther, 1868) (Teleostei: Cyprinidae) has been amplified and sequenced by employing long polymerase chain reaction method. The mitogenome, consisting of 16,612 bp, had the typical vertebrate mitochondrial gene arrangement, including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs, 2 ribos...
متن کاملconstruction and validation of the translation teacher competency test and the scale of students’ perceptions of translation teachers
the major purpose of this study was to develop the translation teacher competency test (ttct) and examine its construct and predictive validity. the present study was conducted in two phases: a qualitative phase as well as a quantitative phase. in the first phase of the study, the author attempted to find out the major areas of competency required for an academic translation teacher. the second...
